About this place
Part of the fun at Tori Beer is deciding which cut of chicken to try. The Mixed Grill brings together small portions of different cuts, making it an easy choice if you would like to sample a few. For a more substantial chicken dish, there is the restaurant’s original Extra-Large Bone-In Grilled Thigh. The Extra-Large Grilled Breast pairs breast meat with a grilled chicken wing, served with a special sauce.
One solo diner ordered the set for one, choosing the Mixed Grill as their grilled dish and upsizing their draft beer to the large “Otoko-mae” size. The set lets you choose one grilled dish and one side, making it straightforward to put together a light meal with a drink. A late-night diner ordered crispy green peppers, grilled chicken wings and the raw chicken-and-egg rice bowl, and singled out the peppers’ crisp texture and the generous size of the wings.
To finish, try the signature Raw Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl, served with wasabi, or Chicken and Takana Rice, made with grilled chicken neck meat wrapped in takana mustard-green leaves. For a snack, there is chicken giblet stew simmered with miso, as well as chicken skin and mushrooms dressed with ponzu. Beer is joined by highballs and sour cocktails. According to the restaurant information, Tori Beer is open daily from 18:00 until 4:00 the following morning.
